The Best Places for CoWorking in Sardinia

  • Cagliari is the capital of the Italian island and offers a mix of art and culture on weekends. The cost of living here is a bit higher because in the harbor are often the yachts of the rich and famous.
  • Alghero is known as little Barcelona. The small town west of the island is characterized by Catalan culture, reflected in the old buildings.
  • Just south of Alghero you will find Bosa. This town is known for its colorful houses and beautiful beaches. In the surroundings of Bosa, you can also experience beautiful hikes or visit old castles and fortresses.

Things You Need to Know about CoWorking in Sardinia

Starting with the most important thing you need on this CoWorking guide for Sardinia: essentials! CoWorking in Sardinia is rather on the expensive side. For one month, digital nomads here pay around 3,300 for living expenses. That’s partly because Sardinia is a popular vacation spot for travelers from all over the world and because, as already mentioned, the rich and famous from Italy and Hollywood flock here.
To get away from all the hustle and bustle a bit, we recommend that you don’t schedule your CoWorking trip during the high season (early June – late August). The weather is perfect for a Mediterranean adventure in May and September, but the costs are drastically reduced.

The internet on the island is good, but we still recommend taking a mobile router with you and equipping it with an Italian SIM card, so you’re always on the safe side. More packing tips for your next CoWorking trip can be found here.

What to experience in Sardinia

If you want to see as much of Sardinia as possible, then a CoWorking trip might not be the best choice, but a road trip around the island.

Sardinia has something to offer for every traveler. Whether you like it active or prefer to take it easy, the beautiful island offers generous options. You can either hike the mountainous area in Sardinia, sit at a lovely seaside cafe, or soak up the sun on one of the island’s pristine beaches. Moreover, there are so many things you can do in Sardinia.

Having trouble choosing only one? Then, we’ve compiled our top picks for Sardinia to make it easier for you:

Beaches:

Crystal clear water in Cala Goloritzé

  • Cala Goloritzé in the east of the island is one of the most beautiful beaches that offers Caribbean feeling in the middle of Europe.
  • Spiaggia di Porto Giunco can be found in the south of the island in the coastal town of Villasimius. The town is famous for its Caribbean feeling with Italian food.
  • La Maddalena Archipel in the north of the island also promises beautiful beaches (and sunsets) and small towns that you can explore. The small group of islands is worth a day or weekend trip in any case.

In Sardinia, you will find beautiful and secluded beaches all along the coast. So grab a rental car and find the perfect beach that suits you.

Sightseeing and Activities:

  • The small town of Iglesias is located in the southwest of Sardinia and is the perfect place for photography enthusiasts and Instagram fans. Here you will find a street with colorful umbrellas hanging overhead.
  • Galo Gorrupu has a dynamic canyon in the middle of a national park. Here you can hike, participate in tours or just enjoy the incredible view.
  • The Grotto di Nettuno can be found in the northwest of Sardinia. The cave is filled with unique stalactites and a saltwater lake. Thus, it is quite small so you can explore it on a one-day trip. However, only a small part of the approximately 4km cave system can be visited. Since the cave is hidden only about one meter above sea level in a steep rock face, you should choose a day with perfect weather to go here.

As you can see, Sardinia has something for everyone. So enjoy your CoWorking trip here to the fullest and come back home with a glowing tan.
