by | Jun 7, 2021 | Uncategorized

We’ve mentioned some of our favorite UNESCO sites throughout some of our blogs, so it’s about time we compile a list of the best ones out there! First of all, what is a UNESCO site? It’s a place that has been deemed to have some sort of cultural or physical significance. That being said… there are so many amazing places that are worthy of this name that picking the best ones is a challenge in itself. Many of these UNESCO sites are also included in our List of 50 Places YOU Need to Visit Before You Die. Life is short, and the world is wide, so off we go!

The world is full of UNESCO-worthy sights…

Cinque Terre, Italy

A colorful city on the coast of Italy in the evening

The Italian coast, with its colorful buildings and rocky shores, is just waiting to be ticked off your bucket list. What’s more, it naturally holds a title as a UNESCO heritage site. On the coast of Cinque Terre, you’ll find five coastal villages that belong to the area. Some of the most popular activities in the area include taking a boat tour and viewing the beautiful coast from the water or hiking along the coast to discover the beautiful five villages! No cars are allowed, so the best thing you can do is to start tying up your hiking boots.
