Here are the top destinations based on all the colors of the rainbow…

First of all, happy pride to all our readers and the JoinMyTrip community! 🏳️‍🌈 To celebrate, we are going to take a look at fun destinations all around the world based on all the pride colors. Did you know that each color is connected to a unique meaning? So, take your TravelMates with you and start exploring the world while celebrating a love of all kinds.

Red: life

Red is the color of life, so naturally, this means that this color encourages you to visit all destinations full of life! This means all cities that are bursting with exotic culture and are just a thrill to visit… you never know what’s around the next corner. Here are our best picks:

  • Marrakesh, Morocco: the Jemaa el-Fna square in Marrakesh is always full of life. Snake charmers, henna tattoo artists, bustling restaurants. Simply being here is an experience for all senses! Enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea on a rooftop, while you’re at it!
  • Bangkok, Thailand: when visiting Bangkok, it’s impossible to get bored. Go temple hopping, ride a tuk-tuk, wander around the night market, check out the floating market… For a full guide to this lively city and all of Thailand, check out our Ultimate Thailand Travel Itinerary
  • Amsterdam, Netherlands: you had to see this one coming! Amsterdam is the ultimate city of life. The nightlife in the city is simply awesome. One of the top clubs is AIR Amsterdam and one of the top rainbow clubs is Club NYX.

Orange: healing

The color orange represents healing and we know just where we are going to do that… nature! Nature and all kinds of trips including getting outside, meditation, or yoga are just perfect for the color orange. We have some healing destinations in mind for you:

  • Isle of Skye, Scotland: the hiking opportunities and rugged Scottish landscape here is to die for! Breathe in the Scottish winds by hiking at Quiraing, Old Man of Storr, or the Fairy Pools
  • Puglia, Italy: the Italian landscapes are perfect for taking a step back from life. Live la dolce vita by doing some yoga and relaxing with a glass of red.

Green: nature

The color green is all about getting back to our roots. 🌳 Healing often happens in nature, which is why we’ve already highlighted the importance of it, but we’ve got some more nature destinations in mind for you… Go green by visiting these places:

  • Banff, Alberta: a canoe ride on Canada’s turquoise lakes is an experience of a lifetime. In the national parks around Banff, including Banff, Yoho, and Jasper, you’ll find plenty of room to have a nature experience all to yourself.

  • Kilimanjaro National Park, Tanzania: on the border of Kenya and Tanzania, you’ll find the ever-intriguing Kilimanjaro National Park, where you’ll have the chance to climb the famous Kilimanjaro Mountain. What’s best about this destination is that although it is remote, it is easily accessible. This meaning that there is great infrastructure surrounding the area. Best of both worlds!

  • Lapland, Finland: Finland is a top destination for all nature-lovers, and you’ll find plenty of forests to practice forest therapy in. Especially in the wintertime, when one has the possibility of spotting the northern lights, the north of Finland is something incredible. Be prepared for the cold weather, though! Here are other things to keep in mind before traveling to Finland.

Blue: harmony

Some destinations just calm us with their harmony. Our favorite blue destinations include:

  • Iceland: the landscapes of the entire country work in perfect harmony. It’s like the perfect palette of earthy tones making an appearance. Visit Snaefellsnes Peninsula, often referred to as ‘Iceland in miniature’ to deep dive into the wonders of this country.

  • Ireland: similar to Iceland, the country of Ireland offers plenty of harmonious landscapes which you can enjoy. The White Cliffs of Moher are definitely a sight to see on your harmony trip to Ireland.

Violet: spirit

Have you been in touch with your spirituality? Whether you believe in something or not, these destinations have spiritual significance and are quite interesting to explore:

  • Machu Picchu, Peru: considered one of the New Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu boasts a ton of spiritual history. Climbing to Machu Picchu is considered a ‘spiritual journey’ and the sight is home to many shrines and temples.
  • Meteora, Greece: Considered the most complex of Eastern Orthodox monasteries, these rock formations are simply an incredible sight to see. Need more tips for Greece? Then see our Ultimate Greece Travel Guide.
  • Borobudur, Indonesia: this 7th century Mahayana Buddhist temple is also the world’s largest Buddhist temple. A sight to behold!
